1. About Origin Aesthetics

Origin Aesthetics is a medical aesthetics practice operated by Dr Maya Williams (FANZCA), a specialist anaesthetist and cosmetic medicine practitioner. Treatments are delivered from 114 Queen Street East, Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.

2. Bookings and Deposits

2.1 Booking deposit

A non-refundable booking deposit of $50 is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is redeemable in full against your consultation fee or any treatment on the day of your appointment.

2.2 Cancellation and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice before your appointment time. Cancellations or rescheduling requests received with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit. To cancel or reschedule, please contact us via the contact details on our website or through your Cloud Appointments booking confirmation.

2.3 Late arrivals

If you arrive late to your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you. However, where a late arrival reduces the available appointment time, the scope of your consultation or treatment may need to be adjusted accordingly.

2.4 Cancellation by Origin Aesthetics

In the event that Origin Aesthetics cancels your appointment, your booking deposit will be refunded in full or credited to a rescheduled appointment, at your preference.

3. Consultations and Treatment

3.1 Consultation first

Every appointment begins with a full medical consultation. Dr Williams will assess your individual circumstances, discuss your goals, and recommend treatment only where it is clinically appropriate and likely to make a visible difference. You are under no obligation to proceed with treatment following a consultation.

3.2 Deposit is not consent

Paying a booking deposit does not constitute consent for treatment. Informed consent is a separate and essential step that takes place at your appointment, following a full discussion of the proposed treatment, its risks, benefits, and alternatives. You may decline treatment at any time, including on the day of your appointment.

3.3 Right to decline treatment

Dr Williams reserves the right to decline to recommend or perform treatment where, in her clinical judgement, it is not appropriate, safe, or in your best interests. This decision will be explained to you clearly.

3.4 Medical history

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your health history, medications, allergies, and any previous aesthetic treatments. Withholding or providing inaccurate information may affect the safety and appropriateness of treatment and releases Origin Aesthetics from liability arising from incomplete disclosure.

3.5 Contraindications

Certain treatments are not appropriate in specific circumstances, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection at the proposed treatment site, certain medical conditions, and recent use of particular medications. All contraindications will be reviewed at your consultation.

4. Pricing and Payment

Treatment prices are as indicated on the Origin Aesthetics website at the time of booking. Filler pricing and skin rejuvenation pricing are tailored to your individual treatment plan and will be confirmed at your consultation before any treatment proceeds. Payment is due on the day of treatment.

5. Results

Aesthetic treatments are medical procedures and individual results vary. Dr Williams will discuss realistic expectations with you at your consultation. Origin Aesthetics does not guarantee specific outcomes. Factors including your individual anatomy, skin type, lifestyle, and the natural progression of ageing can all influence results.

6. Two-Week Review (Anti-Wrinkle Treatment)

All new anti-wrinkle patients are offered a complimentary two-week review appointment. This allows Dr Williams to assess your individual response and make any minor adjustments that may be appropriate. This appointment does not include further product without charge.

7. Clinical Photography

Clinical photographs may be taken as part of your medical record. These are stored securely and used only for clinical purposes unless you provide separate written consent for their use in marketing, social media, or other promotional material. You may withdraw consent for marketing use of your photographs at any time by contacting us.

8. Complications and After-Care

All treatments carry risks, which will be discussed in full at your consultation. Post-treatment care instructions will be provided, and it is your responsibility to follow them. In the event of a concern or complication following treatment, please contact Dr Williams promptly using the contact details provided at your appointment. For urgent concerns outside of business hours, please seek medical attention from your GP or, if necessary, your nearest emergency department.

9. Prescription Medicines and Regulatory Compliance

Botulinum toxin type A is a Prescription Medicine in New Zealand. It may only be prescribed following an appropriate medical assessment. Dr Williams operates in full compliance with New Zealand medicines legislation and the requirements of the Medical Council of New Zealand.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Origin Aesthetics website, including text, images, branding, and design, is the intellectual property of Origin Aesthetics. It may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

Origin Aesthetics reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
